Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the Medical Surgical team. The role involves full-time day shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) with rotating weekends and holidays, under RN supervision to provide direct patient care and maintain professional standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician/related in an acute care setting; or completing acute care clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds

Training

Clinical Technician Academy (CTA)

6 Classroom-style sessions located in Falls Church VA: 8AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM – 4:30PM

Training dates are pre-set and non-negotiable; recruitment team will share further information.

• Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Your first week will be a required Monday – Friday schedule – regardless of your positions normal schedule.
