Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital – Peds Medical Surgical seeks a dedicated Clinical Technician. This full-time day shift runs 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports pediatric patients under RN supervision, emphasizing teamwork, patient safety, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year as a Clinical Tech or related in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)

Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)

Virtual training modules.

On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Exp: 1 year as a Clinical Tech, or related in an acute care setting, or acute care clinical rotation completed with an accredited nursing program.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
