Inova Alexandria Hospital – ICU is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and communicate effectively with the care team. This full-time night shift runs 6:00 PM–6:30 AM with rotating weekends and holidays.

Six weeks of paid training, on-unit shifts, and virtual orientations are included to ensure readiness. Inova is a top employer in the DC metro area, committed to safety, quality, and patient

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of clinical technician experience or nursing program enrollment.
• BLS certification required or within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

Clinical Technician – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completing acute care clinical rotation, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
