Inova Fairfax Hospital – ICU Neuro is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 for a full-time day schedule (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports patient care under RN supervision and requires strong English communication and professionalism within a leading regional health system.

Training includes six weeks of paid sessions, virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules, and on-unit shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical ability to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under RN supervision.
• Communicate effectively with team, patients, and visitors.

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)

Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)

Virtual training modules.

On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
