Overview

Clinical Support Services Associate I (CSSA1) will float between Logistics, Patient Transport, Hospitality Lounge, and Entryway Services as needed based on volume of Epic task requests to efficiently satisfy needs of the Clinical Support Services (CSS and Hospitality) workload. Responsible for the distribution of medical equipment to patient care areas and throughout the CFH campus, optimizing throughput of patients, and assisting patients and guests with visiting/wayfinding. Demonstrates high levels of commitment and customer service to supporting patient care operations. Performs safe and efficient transport of patients, guests, equipment, and/or specimens to designated destinations. Assists Hospitality Lounge team as necessary to perform transports and arranging Uber Health rides, maintaining efficient patient throughput. Assists Entryway Services team to transport visitors/patients, assist with wayfinding, or by utilizing the Visitor Management System.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates ability to safely assist with moving patients onto transport devices and to safely transport patients to designated destinations.
2. Appropriately responds to emergency situations during patient transport.
3. Properly uses, stores, and cleans equipment.
4. Independently receives dispatch for transport assignments and obtains needed equipment for Patient Transport.
5. Completes assignments within designated timeframes and meets department productivity standards regarding monthly average time to complete assignments.
6. Distributes medical equipment to and from CFH departments as scheduled.
7. Performs basic maintenance tasks on medical equipment such as sanitizing, repair, and assessing the need to replace or order additional equipment to support patient care operations.
8. Floats as necessary between Clinical Support Services (CSS) and Hospitality departments based on workload needs to maintain efficient throughput.
9. Works with leadership to complete project tasks for all CSS departments.
10. Assists with the flow of patients/visitors in Entryway Services (transport, wayfinding, or Visitor Management System).
11. Serves as a Safe Patient Handling resource, working at the top of scope as an expert in patient transport/safety equipment and safe patient movement.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $16.03 per hour - $25.97 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting.
