Overview

The Clinical Support Services Associate I (CSSA1) will float between Logistics, Patient Transport, Hospitality Lounge, and Entryway Services as needed based on volume of Epic task requests to efficiently meet the needs of the Clinical Support Services (CSS and Hospitality) workload. They are responsible for distributing medical equipment across the CFH campus, optimizing patient throughput, and assisting patients and guests with visiting and wayfinding. The role requires demonstrating high levels of commitment and customer service to support patient care operations. The associate performs safe and efficient transport of patients, guests, equipment, and specimens to designated destinations. They also assist the Hospitality Lounge team with transports and Uber Health rides, and support Entryway Services with visitor/patient transport, wayfinding, and Visitor Management System tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist with moving patients onto transport devices and transport them to designated destinations.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations during patient transport.
• Properly use, store, and clean equipment.
• Receive dispatch for transport assignments independently and obtain needed equipment.
• Complete assignments within designated timeframes, meeting department productivity standards.
• Distribute medical equipment to and from CFH departments as scheduled.
• Perform basic maintenance on medical equipment, including sanitizing, repair, and assessing needs for replacement or additional equipment.
• Float as necessary between CSS and Hospitality departments based on workload.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete project tasks across CSS departments.
• Assist with patient and visitor flow in Entryway Services, including transport, wayfinding, and Visitor Management System tasks.
• Serve as a Safe Patient Handling resource, working at the top of scope as an expert in patient transport and safety equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
