Job summary

Concentra in Austin, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical and testing procedures under clinician supervision while assisting in registration and referral management. The role focuses on accurate, compassionate patient care and a positive patient experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist with exams, vital signs, basic testing, documentation, and front-office tasks, while upholding HIPAA and safety guidelines to support center operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred.
• Or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience may meet state requirements and regs.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and testing including vaccines, phlebotomy and basic tests.
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front and back office duties and proper record keeping.
• Maintain supplies and clean rooms and equipment; ensure HIPAA compliance.
