Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to deliver essential patient care under clinician supervision. You will prepare patients, perform rapid screenings, and assist the medical team during examinations in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role also involves clerical duties, maintaining documentation, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, with opportunities to grow clinically through monthly competency training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care as MA, OR military medical experience (must meet state requirements).
• Direct patient care experience in a fast-paced setting is favored.
• State-specific credentials as required by employment location and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle clerical tasks in front and back office including patient check-in/out and documentation.
