Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Clinical Supply Chain Associate to support surgical teams by ensuring on-hand items for upcoming cases, creating requisitions, receiving deliveries, and maintaining stock across storerooms and OR carts.

The role involves working with vendors, conducting par reviews, recording temperatures and implant logs, and coordinating with Purchasing and Accounts Payable. Strong communication and healthcare inventory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or healthcare-related experience.
• Excellent knowledge of surgical equipment and inventory controls.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification in materials resources (CMRP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, control and restock all areas supplies related to Clinical Supply Chain Management.
• Pick cases for next day’s surgeries.
• Maintain tissue and temperature log books.
• Assist with LVAD department requests.
• Attend departmental Nursing meetings and coordinate with staff.
• Communicate with coworkers and Nursing staff by email or verbally.
• Create Patient Supply Requests for new products approved by ICB & Nursing leadership.
• Establish par amounts and complete par reviews on all carts to manage stock.
• Coordinate with vendors for loaner trays, implants and consignment supplies.
• Check expirations and rotate stock to ensure proper usage.
• Reconcile invoices with Purchasing & Accounts Payable.
• Find replacements during backorders/recalls/expirations.
• Establish consignment pars with outside vendors.
• Open deliveries and replenish storeroom/OR carts.
• Create requisitions for manual, rush, consignment, or Bill Only POs.
