Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and potential recovery.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY or students following state practice act.
• Communicate progress and goals with physicians, families, and staff.
• Complete timely documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
• Educate residents and families on home exercises and safety strategies.
