Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
• ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA certification
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State and maintain active license

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Liaisons with patients, families, and support departments to plan patient needs
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
• Possess ability to make independent decisions when warranted
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors
• Explain and follow Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete compliance training
• Establish, assess, and modify goals
• Follow therapy treatment plans for patients under supervision where applicable
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software accurately
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team
• Meet physical requirements of sit/stand/bend/lift in daily tasks
