Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, coding using CPT and ICD-10, and helping close care gaps within a value-based care model. The role offers full-time hours, in-person clinic work, and opportunities to gain experience in clinical informatics and medical coding.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge and strong listening skills, with preferred prior scribe or clinical observer experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in real time with structured notes and coding.
• Support clinical documentation improvement through chart review and data accuracy.
• Provide administrative support to the care team including orders and referrals.
• Other duties as assigned.”
