Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe - Float to support our primary care providers with real-time documentation in the exam room and during the care continuum. You will help ensure accurate coding, documentation quality, and timely after-visit summaries while collaborating with clinicians.

Ideal candidates will have strong listening, computer literacy, and bilingual capabilities where applicable, plus a willingness to learn value-based care workflows.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, from pre-medical degree or clinical experience [required]
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing/volunteering [strongly preferred]
• Scribe or transcription experience [preferred but not required]

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in real time with structured notes
• Assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Preparing after-visit summaries for providers
• Supporting daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews
