Job summary

Oak Street Health, a CVS Health company, is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time documentation and coding in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will observe visits, document encounters, and help close care gaps. Ideal candidates commit to 1–2 years, be in-person in clinics, and possess strong communication and computer skills along with HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications from pre-med work or clinical experience.
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing or volunteering preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in real time and creating structured notes.
• Assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes and preparing After Visit Summaries.
• Supporting clinical documentation improvement and reviewing medical records.
• Placing orders and referrals; assisting care team with documentation tasks.
