Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time documentation, coding, and after-visit summaries. You will observe patient visits, record encounters, and help close care gaps within a value-based care framework in our clinics.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge, strong listening skills, and the ability to adapt to workflows. This full-time role requires in-person availability in our clinics, with a typical 40–45 hour week and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Clinical experience including shadowing and/or volunteering.
• Scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time with structured notes, including history, assessment, plan and exam.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and review records to identify opportunities for coding accuracy.
• Provide administrative support to the provider and care team (orders, referrals, task management).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
