Job summary

Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time documentation in a busy clinical setting. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help ensure accurate coding with CPT/ICD-10 while supporting care team workflows.

Requires strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent listening, and the ability to type 70+ wpm. This is a full-time, on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities in value-based care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience or shadowing preferred.
• Scribe or transcription experience preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new workflows.
• Spanish/Polish/Russian or languages spoken by communities we serve.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow provider direction.
• Commitment to in-person clinic work and 1 year minimum.
• HIPAA compliance and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in a structured note with history, assessment, plan and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews.
• Place orders and referrals; address care-team tasks.
• Adhere to policies and HIPAA; work full-time.
