Job summary

University of Cincinnati Physician Company, LLC seeks a capable coordinator to act as a patient-care ambassador before and after visits and surgical procedures. You will support clinics and providers, assist with workflows, and ensure patient satisfaction in clinic and OR settings.

The role emphasizes accuracy in registration, scheduling, pre-authorizations, and coordinated communication with patients and care teams. Strong attention to detail and medical terminology knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years equivalent experience.
• Must have vast knowledge of medical terminology for accuracy in chart review, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and direct to correct person.
• Manage Outlook Calendar for providers within the clinic.
• Manage office incoming mail and communications related to case authorization.
• Validate registration information with patients and verify third-party payors.
• Provide clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment or plan as directed by clinical team.
• Coordinate clinic activities and scheduling including pre-procedural testing and OR block time.
• Perform pre-authorizations and pre-certifications; utilize payer portals for authorizations.
• Audits of patient records/registration for insurance billing and compliance.
• Support departmental workflows and procedures to maintain consistency and patient satisfaction.
