Job summary

The role requires familiarity with medical terminology, registration systems, and a customer-service mindset, with potential travel to off-site practices as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience registering patients in a hospital or clinic, or working as a Medical Assistant or in medical billing.
• General knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be able to travel to off-site physician practices.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary authorizations for services.
• Verify patient has funding coverage for services.
• Schedule patients for surgery.
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues.
