East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the Newport Chafee Medical site. This full-time role is the welcoming face for patients, handling registrations, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments with accuracy and confidentiality.

You will support multiple locations across the medical, behavioral health, and dental programs, ensuring professional, patient-centered service and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Front desk experience in healthcare or related setting preferred.
• Ability to handle patient registrations, scheduling, and payments accurately.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Greet, check in, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Process payments and maintain confidential records.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area.
• Enter and verify patient information in EMR systems.
• Scan and index documents per standards, generate reports.
