Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Clinician to join the team. You will perform PT evaluations, provide direct treatments, educate patients and families, and contribute to discharge planning.

Responsibilities include documenting per PM&R standards, collaborating with physicians and staff, supervising PTAs and rehab technicians, and pursuing ongoing professional development through educational in-services and CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy is required.
• Current D.C. license or qualified candidate for D.C. license as a Physical Therapist.
• D.C. License reciprocity or apply to sit for the board examination.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct PT evaluations and re-evaluations with goals and discharge recommendations.
• Utilizes documentation forms and follows PM&R documentation standards; collaborates with the health care team.
• Supervises PTAs and rehab techs; prioritizes own schedule based on patient treatment needs.
• Participates in program development and at least 10 contact hours of continuing education annually.
