Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to support patient care through direct evaluations and treatments, with emphasis on education and discharge planning. This role offers a flexible schedule within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, 1–2 years of clinical experience in acute or rehab settings, and a DC license or eligibility, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
• 1-2 years related clinical practice experience in acute care or rehabilitation
• APTA - Physical Therapy Current D.C. license or eligible for DC license
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provides direct PT evaluations and re-evaluations with goal setting and discharge planning.
• Performs PT treatments per standards of practice and educates patients and families.
• Coordinates with physicians and health-care teams for discharge planning.
• Manages scheduling and prioritizes patient treatment.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to regulations.
