Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; basic level navigation of web-based apps.
• MA, EMT, CNA or LNA certificate/diploma, or at least 5 months direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check-in, scheduling and medical assisting while delivering excellent service.
• Take complete and accurate information from patients and communicate to providers; prepare schedules and documents.
• Perform check-in, registration and verification of demographic and fiscal information.
• Ensure patient records and imaging are available with proper patient identification.
• Assist providers, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals; explain test instructions.
• Lead and mentor practice support team; optimize workflow and processes.
• Monitor patient and visitor flow; act as liaison to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain clean exam rooms; restock supplies and monitor expiration dates.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and manage insurance authorizations and referrals.
• Assemble records per policy and Joint Commission standards.
