Beth Israel Lahey Health, Plymouth location, seeks a Patient Service Representative to support front-desk operations in our ambulatory practice. The role focuses on welcoming patients, registering them, scheduling appointments, verifying demographics and processing co-payments with accuracy.

You will coordinate between patients and providers, maintain flow, and assist with referrals and educational materials as indicated. The position emphasizes customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Admin Assistant Cert preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients and visitors with courtesy, service, respect and privacy and provides accurate information and directions.
• Performs check in/registration, scheduling, demographic data verification and cash handling.
• Monitors patient flow and coordinates between patient, staff and other areas to ensure efficient service.
• May assist with check out, follow-up scheduling and patient education materials.
• Level II responsibilities include facilitating billing functions and supporting information requests.
