Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Clinical Coordinator to support Medical Assistants and supervise MA staff under Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager. You will oversee workflows, patient satisfaction, staff productivity, and achievement of operational goals.

The role requires 5 years of clinical experience with supervisory background, CPR certification, and MA credentialing.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with coursework in management/supervision; preferred associate or bachelor’s in management/healthcare administration.
• Credentialed MA program and MA externship/internship completion, EMT/Paramedic or athletic trainer programs as applicable.
• Valid CPR certification required.
• MA-Credentialed: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA or CMAC certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling and time/attendance for MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance; recommend promotions or disciplinary action.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
