Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a compassionate Clinical Coordinator to support Medical Assistants and oversee MA staff in collaboration with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager. You will drive efficient patient flow, patient and staff satisfaction, and accomplishment of operational goals.

The role involves day-to-day supervision, recruitment support, scheduling, performance evaluations, and hands-on assistance with exams, procedures, testing, and patient

Qualifications

• Educational background in management or healthcare administration preferred.
• Experience supervising medical staff and coordinating schedules.
• Active MA credentialing appropriate to role and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance and manage promotions/discipline.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
