Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting.
• Strong critical thinking and judgment for prioritizing patient needs.
• Problem-solving to resolve scheduling and coordination barriers.
• Attention to detail in charting, medication lists, referrals, and follow-up.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced clinic.
• Adaptability to changing schedules, patient needs, or workflows.
• Empathy and cultural sensitivity when interacting with diverse patients.
• Teamwork and collaboration with providers and staff.
• Initiative and accountability in completing tasks.
• Confidentiality and professionalism handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and daily operations to align with provider presence.
• Redeploy staff or cover duties as needed.
• Distribute daily huddle messages to staff, Manager, and RN Coordinator.
• Oversee standard work and adherence for medical staff.
• Assist in onboarding and training new office staff.
• Conduct monthly audits and review CRISP TCMs and prior authorizations.
• Lead daily staff and provider huddles.
• Monitor Epic in-basket pools and ensure timely management.
• Attend staff and provider meetings; participate in Epic Super-User and UDC meetings.
• Distribute monthly appointment data reports.
• Ensure supplies ordering and vaccine/equipment storage.
• Participate in staff recruitment and provide performance input.
• Cover frontline roles when short-staffed.
