The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision and offers hands-on clinical experience through job shadowing and patient care activities.

The position emphasizes applying the nursing process, critical thinking, effective communication, and patient safety while completing clinical rotations and related EHR training.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and has completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
• First Clinical Rotation completed is required; EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN guidance.
• Record vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse and report changes.
• Document care accurately and timely for patient records.
• Support hand-off/report of pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Escalate concerns through chain of command.
