Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Clermont Hospital PCU to support nursing staff and care for patients during the night shift. The role includes basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and serving as a liaison between patients and nurses.

The position is part-time, nights, 24 hours per week (1900-0700) with benefits and opportunities for training in EPIC EHR and professional development.

Qualifications

• BLS preferred; nursing aide training or STNA/CNA, or nursing program with clinicals
• Acute care experience preferred
• Ability to obtain BLS prior to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Delivers high-quality customer service to patients, families, staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Participates in hand-offs with pertinent information.
• Assists with patient transfers using safe techniques.
• Encourages patient independence and personalized care.
