Job Title: Clinical Nursing Coordinator
Position Summary:

The Nurse in this role is responsible for providing and documenting call center services for patients with rare or chronic disorders, on behalf of manufacturer clients. These clients, secured by CareMetx, provide specific guidelines for required nursing services. Nurse Educators do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role, and do not interact directly with healthcare providers or offices. The nurse reports to the Operations Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively in a call center environment, utilizing computer equipment, hardware, and software to execute responsibilities.
  • Follow the guidelines provided by manufacturer clients and company leadership.
  • Educate patients, physicians, and families on prescribed, FDA-approved therapies, according to client needs.
  • Use reviewed and approved call guides and resources for communication.
  • Provide HIPAA-compliant feedback and analysis to clients as required.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, manufacturer, and team members.
  • Maintain required nursing licenses and relevant certifications.
  • Manage time efficiently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Present a professional image and positive attitude.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
  • Active RN or LPN license, free of disciplinary actions.
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
  • Consideration for nurses in Nursing Licensure Compact states.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate’s degree with relevant experience acceptable.
  • Prior call center or telehealth nursing experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with call center and telehealth processes.
  • Knowledge of biologic therapies, specialty pharmacy, and managed care.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, Salesforce, and telephone systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and judgment skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to work remotely, manage flexible hours, and travel as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Primarily sitting, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, moderate noise level. Accommodations available for disabilities.

Schedule:
  • Flexible hours, with approximately 15% travel required.
