Qualifications

• Minimum: High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepares and rooms patients per workflow; takes vital signs and reviews patient history.
• Performs back office testing following AHN protocols.
• Assists providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a medical scribe with training.
• Follows up with patients via preferred method per provider instructions.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Performs lab controls and equipment checks.
• Administers and documents medications per policy.
• Documents in the EHR according to standards.
• Performs clerical duties and may float between locations.

Education
