Community Health Center, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant in Clinton, CT for a full-time role Monday–Friday with one evening and one Saturday per month. The position pays $23/hr and includes strong benefits.

You will support primary care providers, perform EKGs and CLIA-waived tests, and assist with patient flow in a patient-centered medical home. You will use an electronic health record, participate in e-huddles, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school.
• Medical Assistant board certification/registration or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• EKG use, appointment scheduling, word processing and computer skills, and familiarity with medical testing procedures.
• Sound organizational skills and accuracy at all levels of job.
• Must be team focused and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• CHC requires CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED certification (or equivalent).

Aufgaben

• Perform pre-visit preparation for all primary care patients scheduled to be seen.
• Use e-huddles via the Planned Care Dashboard to ensure complete visits.
• Prepare patients to be seen using established criteria.
• Accurately document chief complaints and results from screening tests.
• Perform CLIA waived tests, EKG, hearing and vision tests.
• Prioritize daily work to minimize patient waiting time and ensure proper referrals.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions.
