Job summary

Community Health Center, Inc in Clinton, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to support primary care visits by preparing patients, recording chief complaints, vitals, and assisting with CLIA-waived tests, EKGs, and hearing/vision screening.

In collaboration with the nurse and provider, you will use e-huddles and the Planned Care Dashboard to ensure complete visits, maintain patient flow, ensure infection control, and uphold CPR certification; bilingual skills and EHR expertise are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, MA certification or registration preferred.
• CPR certification required; BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems and basic medical testing procedures encouraged.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply evidence based guidelines and prep pre-visit for primary care patients.
• Document chief complaints and results of screening tests accurately.
• Perform CLIA waived tests, EKG, hearing and vision screening.
• Coordinate with nurses/providers to maintain patient flow and test scheduling.
• Maintain infection control and CPR certification; ensure clean, safe environment.
