Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, seeks a Medical Assistant to support exam coordination, patient care, and office operations under the supervision of the provider.

You will prepare and room patients, document vitals, assist with screenings and medication reconciliation, and maintain EHR accuracy while following AHN policies and workflows. This role may involve traveling between clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).
• CPR certification and background clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision.
• Prepare and room patients according to workflows.
• Take and document vitals and patient history.
• Support depression screening and wellness visits as needed.
• Maintain and update EHR with accurate data.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and back-office testing.
• Manage supplies and keep treatment areas stocked.
