Job summary

Training may enable scribe duties. The position requires a High School diploma or Medical Assistant program completion, CPR certification, and certification within 120 days if not already certified, with recognized MA

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification requirements: must complete certification within 120 days of hire if not already certified; accepted MA certifications include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.
• CPR - American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, review medications and medical history.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may act as a scribe with training.
• Provide follow-up with patients via preferred method and communicate test results under provider direction.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure inventory of medical supplies; follow AHN protocols.
