Allegheny Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in coordinating examinations, treatments, and care planning. Prepare patients, take vitals, update the EHR, and follow AHN protocols to ensure smooth clinic flow.

You may assist with procedures, back-office tasks, and potentially serve as a scribe. Requires high school or MA program; certification within 120 days; associate degree preferred.

Qualificações

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire; accepted certs include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• CPR - American Heart Association.
• Background clearances: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care under supervision with the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals; document history and medications.
• Perform back office testing and assist with exams/procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training; follow up with patients per provider instructions.
• Prepare exam rooms; stock supplies; sterilize instruments; document in EHR.
• May require floating between physician locations.
