Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care within a team-based clinical setting. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, and medication screening, while maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR.

The role involves back-office testing, assisting with examinations, potential scribal duties, and follow-up communications with patients. High school or GED plus MA program completion is required.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification in a recognized Medical Assistant program (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA) preferred.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Associate's degree is preferred for advancing to higher roles.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals and document history; review medications.
• Perform back office testing per AHN protocols and policies.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures; may act as a scribe with training.
• Follow up with patients via preferred method and communicate test results.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain adequate inventories; ensure sterile environments.
• Document accurately in the EHR and perform clerical duties; may float between locations.
