The role handles appointment scheduling, chart preparation, and clerical duties, while supporting physician needs, coordinating calls, and assisting with documentation. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License is required.
• Able to type 40 wpm with good spelling.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to physician and patient inquiries; coordinate physician schedules with protocols.
• Register and assist in scheduling appointments for patients.
• Prepare charts and collect documentation for clinic hours; obtain tests or results as needed.
• Send prescriptions, notes, and non-patient letters; manage correspondence for physicians.
• Coordinate releases, copies, and medical information for patient pick-up; assist with scheduling changes.
