Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of experience as a medical assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant with BLS certification preferred; data conversion credentials.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and related privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in complex office-based procedures and provides clinical oversight for quality control programs.
• Provide leadership to the medical assisting team, including training, mentoring, and performance guidance.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring workload distribution and efficient resources use.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and promote professional growth.
• Coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
• Assist with patient intake, obtaining medical history, vital signs, and preparing patients for examination.
• Participate in interview process for new MAs and serve as a preceptor for new hires.
• Assist with competency assessments and provide input on performance evaluations.
