Prisma Health is seeking a Laboratory Generalist for Night shift at Blount Memorial Hospital. You will perform and support a broad range of waived to high complexity tests, while maintaining QC/QM, specimen integrity, and accurate reporting.

You will participate in ongoing competency assessments and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include operating instrumentation, documenting results, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Experience - No experience required.
• Licensure/certification per Tennessee requirements (ASCP/MT or equivalent).

Responsabilités

• Conducts or supports laboratory testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Maintains proficiency and accuracy in all laboratory testing per SOPs.
• Verifies patient/specimen identification and sample integrity.
• Monitors QC/QM and manages inventory and supplies.
• Operates laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoots issues with service reps as needed.
