Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Lab Technologist Generalist to join the night shift team. You will prioritize testing, ensure accuracy and timely procedures, and maintain CLIA/DNV/CAP compliant records.

You may work across Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank with competency in multiple areas. The role requires ASCP/ NCA/ AMT certification, a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science, and readiness to work 11 p.m.–7 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science required or equivalent acceptable by state/certification boards.
• Professional certification (ASCP/NCA/AMT) preferred or required by position.
• Strong data entry, documentation, and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and STAT testing according to department policy.
• Maintains accurate laboratory records and logs.
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Communicates results with pathologist or supervisor as needed.
• Precepts MLT students and participates in continuing education.
