Responsibilities

• Verify patient and specimen IDs; ensure correct labeling and handling of specimens.
• Instruct and mentor new staff and students on procedures and theory.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and monitor supplies and inventory.
• Document results, QA data, and retention of specimens per policy.
