Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation required; eligibility within 12 months if not certified.
• Experience with computers including web-based and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens and performs complex tests using automated equipment.
• Performs QC, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments; assists with inventory.
• Evaluates test results and reports to providers; documents in LIS.
• Maintains safety policies and infection control per OSHA guidelines.
• Communicates with staff to answer questions and assist training.
