Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist/MLS to join the WI ACL Laboratories – St Lukes: South Shore team in Illinois. The role supports newborn to adult testing with rotation coverage on weekends/holidays, 20 hours per week, typically 14:00–22:30.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology and MT/MLS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• MT/MLS certification to be obtained within 1 year (ASCP/AMT).
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work in a timely manner.
• Ensures accuracy of results and proper reporting of test findings.
• Provides training and guidance to junior staff and students.
