Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with MT/MLS registry eligibility.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) eligibility within one year of hire.
• Strong in hematology and chemistry

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area.
• Prepares reagents, maintains inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities and troubleshoots test systems with the appropriate department channels.
• Assists with review and revision of procedures and documentation for accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains real-time shift communications with leadership regarding issues impacting patient care.
• Participates in planning changes and competency assessments as needed.
