Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC seeks a Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory analyses and deliver accurate test results for patient care. A Bachelor's degree with NAACLS MT program and ASCP MT certification are required, with five years of lab experience (or two years with MLT cert).

MT experience is preferred. The role supports Blood component preparation, sample collection, and safe handling of hazardous materials in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and NAACLS Medical Technologist program completed.
• Five years of clinical lab experience, or two years with MLT certification.
• ASCP MT certification required; MT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report accurate laboratory test results for patient care.
• Prepare and issue blood components for transfusions.
• Assist in collection and transport of patient samples to the lab.
• Handle hazardous materials per regulations to ensure safety.
• Requisition and maintain inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
• Supervise and train students and junior techs in clinical lab work.
• Operate complex laboratory instruments and instruct others in their use.
