Job summary

Advocate Health, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Laboratory Supervisor in the Core Lab: Chemistry at Carolinas Medical Center. You will lead lab operations, ensure quality and compliance, and partner with pathologists and leadership.

The role requires MLS/MT certification and a Bachelor's in clinical lab sciences, with about 3 years of experience. Sign-on bonus eligible; 40 hours weekly; 2nd shift; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including decision making, delegation, team building, customer service, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, accrediting and licensing agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Works with pathologists and leadership to ensure lab services support clinical and enterprise initiatives.
• Directs and oversees efficient operations and liaises with lab leadership.
• Maintains competency in test systems and serves as SME for area of responsibility.
• Identifies and implements performance improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and efficiency.
