Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: One-year lab tech experience in a fast paced acute care setting in Chemistry, Reference lab and/or Microbiology sections.
• Pathology Section: required Anatomy Knowledge and prefer one-year pathology experience Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing of clinical laboratory specimens, loading specimens in various analyzers, scanning specimens for storage
• Answering laboratory inquiries from various hospital units or from various healthcare providers; may assist with transportation of laboratory specimens
