Job summary

Natera, a global leader in cfDNA testing, seeks a Clinical Lab Supervisor in Austin, TX to oversee lab staff, ensure testing and data review quality, and maintain adherence to CLIA/CAP and GMP standards. The role partners with management to achieve goals while fostering performance and compliance.

The supervisor will coach and train personnel, manage shifts, and handle CAPAs, performance reviews, and interdepartmental collaboration to support critical patient testing programs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in Medical Technology with 4 years CLIA laboratory experience.
• BS/BA, Physical, Chemical or Biological Sciences, or a related field 5 years experience in a CLIA laboratory.
• Master’s degree in arts or science with a major in chemical, physical or biological sciences with 3 years experience in a CLIA laboratory.
• Master’s degree with BS/BA in Medical Technology program with 2 years experience in a CLIA laboratory.
• Current MT/MLS/CLS/MB/MDx certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily supervision of lab staff performing testing and data review.
• Coach, motivate, staff, evaluating, and training personnel.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP and GMP guidelines.
• Maintain SOP adherence and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with manager and HR to resolve issues.
• Manage performance reviews and staff development.
• Plan and lead shift meetings.
• Escalate deviations and initiate CAPAs.
