Job summary

TriCore, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist to join our Encino PCC team in Albuquerque. The role requires independence with minimal supervision and advancement through modalities; compensation depends on modalities performed.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent is required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant program or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to perform department functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Provide basic problem solving to ensure patient care and service levels.
• Handle hospital communications and on-call responsibilities by location.
• Demonstrate effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holidays/weekends as needed.
• Perform clerical functions and document critical communications.
