Job summary

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work independently across modalities. Regular attendance is essential; compensation depends on modalities performed, with an option for paid apprenticeship for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a CLA program or comparable training.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional, courteous duties.
• Maintain supplies and department inventory.
• Observe and train staff as needed.
• Demonstrate professional judgment in client care.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and holiday coverage.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Perform basic clerical tasks and call documentation.
